Inside Gambia

Discover Gambia from everyday life, both coastal and inland, both the southern and the northern shore: that is what the program Gambia Inside offers. With our own Landrover and own guide makes you not only know the Gambian life, but you are also part thereof.

The basic program lasts one week and with several days and weeks to expand. Customization is always possible based on your personal interests, including education, health, agriculture, art and culture, etc. Together with the organization you create your own Inside Gambia travel!

Basic Program Gambia Inside
Day 1		Arrival in the Gambia and Kairoh Garden
Day 2	Morning	Visit the Tanji Village Museum where you get in a nutshell an insight into the Gambian society
	Noon	Visit the lively beach of Tanjeh to see the incoming fishing boats unload their catch.
Day 3		Today you out with a Gambian. This gives you an insight into the everyday (family) life.
Day 4		Travel day of Tanjeh to Kuntaur. We take the road along the south shore where we make several stops.
Day 5	Morning	From Kuntaur explore the rural countryside: the rice fields and community gardens. You will visit various villages, projects and people to get an impression of life in the poorest region of the Gambia.
	Noon	If the water level of the river is low, you can create a boat safari of about 2.5 hours to Baboon Island in the Gambia Nature Reserve Park. If you are lucky, you can see hippos, crocodiles and monkeys along with various species of birds in an exuberant vegetation.
Day 6		Travel day to Tanjeh via the north bank.
Day 7	Morning	Visit the colorful market in Serekunda or walk through Abuko Nature Reserve.
	Noon	To their own needs to fill.
	Evening	Completion of the basic program with a local music and dance group.
